Support Table

The following information describes the levels of support we offer for our products.

The Foresight Software Customer Support Center is dedicated to providing significant services to our customers to meet their requirements in the areas of Application Consulting and Problem Resolution. Our staff has been trained in the areas of the product applications and in system configuration management so as to make your support calls as effectively and efficiently resolved as possible.

As with all application software, however, there may be issues that arise that are beyond our ability to resolve due to environmental variables which place the issue outside of our normal scope. Before you place a call to the Support Center, we recommend that you review your Customer Support Handbook and the tables below to determine if your situation falls within the guidelines established for "normal" support consideration.

If you believe that you may have an unusual situation, please let our representatives know when you call, and we can decide how to best resolve your support issues.

Support Types
We offer two types, or levels, of support for our products, depending on the stage the product has reached in its lifecycle. These levels, Basic and Enhanced, are described in the table below.

Support Level Description
Enhanced
  • Product Updates
  • Clearance Codes
  • Access to application support via telephone, e-mail, and fax during normal business hours (8:00 am - 5:00 pm)
  • Problem isolation
  • Bug work-around, reporting, tracking
  • Enhancement request processes (CAB)
  • Problem escalation
  • Patch delivery available
  • Access to User Conference and Foresight Software education
Basic
  • All Enhanced features, except:
  • Code corrections for an error on a stable or retired version of product
  • Enhancement processing for a stable or retired version of product
  • Problem escalation for a code error on a stable or retired version of product

Product Stages
A software stage represents one or more versions of our product and the environment configurations. Typically, an Active product is the product we are currently shipping, and the Stable product is one release prior. The various product lifecycle stages and their definitions are described in the table below.

Lifecycle Stage Description Support Level
Active During the active stage development focuses resources on this version. Foresight Software licenses and ships active products. Customers may migrate or update their previous products to these active products. Enhanced
Stable During the stable stage, there is no development work done. Severity one issues may be addressed. Foresight Software does not license and ship these versions. Basic
Mature In the mature stage, Foresight has determined that the version is a candidate for retirement, but has not yet officially removed support.  Foresight may not be able to replicate issues at this level. Basic (*)
Retired During the retired stage, there is no development work done on the product. Foresight Software does not license and ship these versions, and no longer maintains the specified environment configuration. Basic (**)

(*) - Basic support for mature products may be limited due to lack of environmental configurations. Foresight may refer you to one of our business partners with expertise in the specific area of assistance required.

(**) - Basic support for retired products will be limited to application issues only. Because we do not maintain active code bases for retired versions, we may advise you to upgrade to a more current version before we can provide issue resolution.

What We Support
At Foresight, we maintain support capabilities for the following environment/version configurations. Other configurations may be viable, or may have considerations which yield less than optimal system performance. Please contact your Foresight sales representative if you have, or are considering the purchase of, a configuration not listed below.
