Foresight Software is the developer and distributor of the MXP brand of enterprise resource planning (ERP) software.  Our mission is to deliver high-quality, affordable business management software and services to our customers, to maintain professional and ethical relationships within our business community, and to provide an environment in which our employees can develop professionally and personally.

Headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia, Foresight was incorporated in 1995, and is a wholly-owned subsidiary of the HALO portfolio of high-tech companies. HALO comprises 8 businesses, with a simple philosophy: buy good companies with an established client base and operate them to maximize customer satisfaction rather than chase new customers at the expense of existing ones. We strongly believe the only way to get new customers in a mature market is to ensure the clients you have today are happy. No magic formulas. No flux capacitors embedded in shiny sports cars traveling through space and time. Just old-fashioned business sense - build great products, sell them at a reasonable price, make sure they deliver value to the customer, be profitable.

MXP’s History
While Foresight has been in operation since 1995, MXP’s history goes back much further than that.  The core functionality of the system was developed in the early 1980’s under the Varnet brand name, and was for many years the leading ERP system in the mid-range manufacturing market space.  In 1993, the Varnet system was purchased by the Marcam corporation, re-branded as “MXP” and enhanced with the addition of significant Service Management functionality.  When Marcam decided to re-focus on its own MAPICS system, it divested the MXP product line, and Foresight was “born”.

Deployment and Support
The MXP system is currently deployed in more than 600 customer sites on six continents, and is globally supported by our network of expert business partners and consultants in North America, Europe, Asia and Australia.  Many of our partners have dedicated their practice exclusively to the implementation and enhancement of the MXP system, some for more than 20 years.  We have a particularly close relationship with our sister company, ProfitKey International, with who we share development, support and administrative resources.

Internally, our staff has significant expertise in our focus areas.  Our support staff has an average of more than 6 years experience with our product lines, and our developers average more than 12 years of ERP system programming experience.

The Future
As with many software providers, Foresight is re-emerging from the software downturn of the last several years, and we are doing so with a strong commitment to our loyal customers and partners.  The release of the latest MXP version, DECADE, is solid proof of our commitment to ensuring our customers’ continued success in their respective markets, and increased competitiveness in any market arena.  As we continue to improve and expand the MXP product line, we promise to maintain our  dedicated focus on customer success.
